Over 200 tonnes of equipment delivered to Equatorial Guinea in 7 days

Our customer, an American company working on a project in Equatorial Guinea, has worked worldwide on mobilising major multi-disciplined projects.  They have gained a strong reputation for being able to achieve their goals and deliver impressive results, working in Oil & Gas, Renewables, Petrochemical and Construction Industries both onshore and offshore.

An emergency shut down of their client, left our customer with the challenge of needing to ship a large quantity of material within a very short time frame.  220 tonnes of mixed equipment had to be fast-tracked to site.  After going to market with this requirement and contacting a number of suppliers and users, it was agreed that the only company with sufficient stock levels and the ability to deliver within two days was George Roberts Ltd.

The client needed assurances around quality, manufacturing and Health and Safety management in order to quickly get George Roberts Ltd set up their supply chain.  Due to our commitment to maintaining the highest of standards across the business, this was achieved within hours using a conference call with their safety department and our HSEQ Manager, @Dan Sellers. Modern problems require modern solutions, and we strive to ensure our customers can always reach us to communicate quickly and clearly – be it across county lines or oceans.

“Following the emergency shutdown, we faced a real challenge in sourcing then mobilising and shipping such a large amount of equipment all within such a short time frame. I’ve been so impressed with the support and speed we’ve received from George Roberts Ltd. I just don’t think anyone else could have pulled it off “ said the HSEQ manager that organised this delivery for their clients.

Through sheer speed and dedication, the containers of equipment were shipped within one week from order, from Aberdeen to Equatorial Guinea, much to their delight! During the process, all quality and export documentation was handled back to back at our premises.

This may not have been a typical event, but the very nature of modern times and the construction industry itself requires flexibility and sometimes just a little bit of grit and determination to overcome the challenge. Here at George Roberts Ltd., we stand by the safety and quality of our products.  This reliability means that we can turn around jobs quickly and with confidence.
