Our client, i-SCAFF™️ Access Solutions Ltd—a specialist scaffolding provider based in Glenrothes, Scotland, required a rapid turnaround for an international project located in the Netherlands. Following an initial request on 27th January, the project demanded not only the supply of high-quality scaffolding materials but also a complex logistics solution to ensure all equipment reached the site ahead of a strict 19th February deadline.
The requirement was twofold: the provision of 28 tonnes of George Roberts scaffolding, and the logistical coordination to collect additional client-owned assets from their Scottish yard to be delivered simultaneously to the European mainland.
The Solution: Precision Planning and Rapid Response
At George Roberts, we pride ourselves on our ability to move quickly without compromising on precision. Upon receiving the instruction to proceed, our dedicated export team, led by Sharon (Head of International Sales), immediately began the coordination phase.
The scope of the order grew to include the collection of an 8ft shipping container (approximately 11 tonnes) from the client’s facility in Glenrothes. To manage this 39-tonne requirement, we deployed two dedicated trucks, ensuring the materials were prepared and packed strictly to i-SCAFF’s specifications.
By synchronising the supply of new materials with the collection of the client’s existing inventory, we provided a seamless, “one-stop” logistics service. This eliminated the need for the client to manage multiple hauliers and ensured all equipment arrived as a single, coordinated consignment.
The Result: Ahead of Schedule
Through proactive communication and a commitment to reliability, the entire shipment was delivered to the Netherlands via a 2-day transit schedule. Everything arrived on-site ahead of the 19th February deadline, empowering Ross Brown and the i-SCAFF™️ team to meet their own shipping and assembly timelines with confidence.
“This project exemplifies our commitment to precision, reliability, and customer satisfaction. It is a testament to how our team can turn around complex international jobs quickly and with total confidence.”
