1300mm Aluminium X Beam

DETAILS

Our deeper heavy-duty version of the 750mm deep X beam which enables massive spans to be achievable using singular beam lines.  The unique X frame design and its consistent diagonal node spacing when beams are joined offers colossal allowable working loads in both bending moment and shear permitting scaffolding design engineers to create access solutions thought to be impossible in the days of old.

Well suited to large bridge spans, multiple lift supports and truss-out applications, the 1300mm deep X beam is equally at home being used as the main structural component of our UBIX temporary roofing system for the formation of huge roof truss spans in excess of 40m in width as recently supplied to Tidworth Barracks for the MOD in Wiltshire where the 1.3m X beam was used to create a clear overall roof span of 44m that wasn’t possible using the 750 range.

Every X beam supplied by George Roberts weighs approx. 14.0Kg/m and has factory fitted beam spigots on one end to enable connections for the formation of longer beam spans using our quick release spring pins.

Our stock is consistently manufactured in Britain using 100% British produced 6082 T6 extruded aluminium that is fully designed and tested to BS 8118 and BS EN 1999-1-1.  Each beam we supply is marked with its own unique serial number, date of manufacture and BS EN mark for complete traceability.
