Laminated Scaffold Board

DETAILS

Laminated Scaffold Boards, sometimes referred to as LVL Scaffold boards, are an alternative to the traditional solid timber scaffold board.

Master Plank® is an engineered wood product known as Kerto® and is designed specifically for use as a scaffold board.  The unique manufacturing process disperses the inherent defects found in solid sawn timber.  Natural characteristics such as knots and wane are randomised to maximise strength and minimise warping and potential splits.

All our laminated boards sold at George Roberts are kitemarked visibly with the relevant BSI third party accreditation and are fully compliant to BS 2482.  These engineering boards have an identical physical specification and sizing as our BS2482 timber boards but are slightly lighter weighing approx. 1.32Kg/foot (4.33Kg/m) and are available to special order in lengths upwards from 4’ (1.2m).

Benefits of Laminated scaffold boards:

  • Individually proof-tested
  • Enhanced durability and safety (OSHA/ANSI/BS/EN)
  • Meets and exceeds industry standards including BS2482
  • Stamped/embossed as ‘scaffold plank’
  • Unrivalled structural rigidity, stability and strength
  • 10% lighter than solid wood equivalent
  • 63mm x 225mm system battens also available upon request
  • No metal end-banding is required
  • Proven to last at least twice as long as traditional equivalent
  • Suitable for petrochemical and gas industry applications
  • Excellent electrical insulation, anti-corrosive and chemical properties
  • Low inert temperature properties
